European poultry in the spotlight in Ho Chi Minh City
Imports of poultry meat from the European Union to Vietnam exceeded 56.5 thousand tonnes in 2025, confirming the steady development of trade cooperation between the European Union and Vietnam. The important role of European suppliers and EU production standards were the main topics of the press event for the campaign “European poultry – from our farms to your table,” held in Ho Chi Minh City.

The meeting brought together media representatives, online creators, and opinion leaders interested in food and food quality topics. The event was also attended by representatives of Polish institutions supporting economic cooperation with Vietnam – Wojciech Kusak, Counsellor at the Political and Economic Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Hanoi, and Piotr Harasimowicz, Head of the Foreign Trade Office of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) in Vietnam.
During the meeting, the assumptions of the three-year campaign promoting European poultry on the Vietnamese market were presented, along with detailed information on the production system in the European Union. Topics discussed included animal welfare regulations, production control, and food safety supervision.
It was emphasized that poultry production in the EU is carried out in accordance with strict regulations covering all stages of the supply chain – from farming, through processing, to distribution. Particular attention was paid to process transparency and product traceability, enabling monitoring of their origin at every stage.
An important element of the presentation was also the regionalization system used in the European Union, which, in the event of avian influenza outbreaks, allows exports to continue from disease-free areas, thereby increasing the stability and predictability of supply.
Presentations during the event were delivered by Dariusz Goszczyński, President of the National Poultry Council – Chamber of Commerce (KRD-IG) in Poland, and Adrian Stobierski, an industry expert.
“Vietnam is one of the key markets for the European poultry sector in Asia. We observe growing interest in cooperation and increasing awareness of the quality and taste attributes of poultry produced in the European Union. At the same time, there is a visible need to deepen knowledge about EU production standards,” said Dariusz Goszczyński, speaker at the event and representative of the European poultry industry, President of the National Poultry Council – Chamber of Commerce (KRD-IG) in Poland.
Poland, as the largest producer of poultry meat in the EU, exported approximately 37.4 thousand tonnes of poultry meat and offal to Vietnam in 2025, accounting for a significant share of EU exports to this market.
